The film is nearly done and is now entering the exciting world of film festivals.

Entering film festivals — and creating the prints to screen at the festivals — isn’t cheap. This is, of course where you come in. If you’ve ever wanted to own a piece of a feature film, now’s your chance!

There are two primary reasons we’re seeking outside financial assistance. First, we believe that Perfect 10 is a story that needs to be told. It is timely and has positive messages about self-esteem, body issues and female empowerment. We sincerely believe that the movie will actually help people. Mara, our main character, is an everywoman and her journey is one that anyone (male or female) can learn from. It also happens to funny, touching and entertaining (if we do say so ourselves)!

Secondly, we managed to pay our entire cast and all full-time crew positions (it may not have been a lot, but it’s a start). Film production, especially independent film production, is fueled by passionate people willing to donate their time and energy. It’s wonderful, but unfortunately it’s not a sustainable lifestyle. We would like to see the Northwest be an oasis for artists — where one can actually afford to live while working on films. Lofty dream? Of course. But we have to start somewhere (no matter how small the first few steps may be)!
